He lay there dormant thinking about life's injustice's.
It's so cold these blanket's encompass social regurgitating,
He sit's and dream's of sunny days and silver shattering cups where no tear dry's in the winter solstice
"Get up and get a job you lazy bastard" a voice interrupts
The dream's that flutter by nobody cares everybody stares.
9 - 5 guy's wander in endless circus's
hot soup clean blanket's and a word about the disciples how he's been chosen to serve god's good purpose.
The rain is a constant companion, and throw in gust's of wind for good measure. Cardboard city exudes out of every oriface.
People talk to him in monotonous voice's about how terrible his situation is and how the government made it's promise's.
Not a person care's if he's dead or alive, this world's so lonely. Sometimes he get's a mattress in a pishy hostel but he hates the junkie's and all their skills and thuggery.
The one friend he had died in a cat and dog home.
Lifted from his arm's never to be seen again.
The sadness flow's from his eye's, bones stick out from his face from the malnutrition.
Why he wish'es for a better fortune?
His dead stare looks back and forth time to empty the cup.
This man's just about dead another story about a statistic who has no bread just sorrow.

It seemed fitting since I moved from there to here with my friends "The Being" and Glasgow's Hip Hop community. I have been writing, recording and performing for around 20 years.
